I think that Feng Office Community Edition can serve as an alternative to MS Office 2013. It comes with most of the utilities that MS Office offers. In addition, it has project management inbuilt utilities. Feng office offers to create and edit files online. MS Office 2013 is a desktop based application.
I would personally prefer MS Office 2013. The reason is that I am already used to it and it has many online tutorials present on YouTube that offer useful help when I am stuck while using MS Office 2013.
