How does organizational culture impact the design of information systems?
The technology itself is not important, what makes it important is the way it is used to produce positive or negative results Bailey (1993, p. 14). This fact makes the organizational culture an important aspect of the design of the information systems. The human resources are the main ingredients for the information system design and implementation. If there is a healthy organizational culture which enables all its human resource to reach their full potential, they will be able to collaborate and design information system that do not have an unacceptable amount of bugs and errors and is beneficial to the users. On the other hand if the overall organization is not based on ethical and moral standards, there will be less collaboration between the human resource and the resulted design of information system would be full of flaws.
