In order to process sales orders a business needs the materials necessary for making the product, many resources, and machinery that can manufacture the product. When you create a supply chain business needs somebody who can constantly supply them with the material needed at the best price. Then, when the product is being produced it needs to be planned and controlled. When the business gets an order, they need to process it and complete the order. This can make things hard when orders are backed up or have a big demand because you need to plan how to make the product, when to make the product and how many to make. Supply and demand always changes and this can make things harder. Also, when the product is made, it needs to be delivered when previously specified.
