How would you go about deciding on a topic for your research paper? What would you make you choose such a topic? Where would you get your information for it?

When I am looking for a research topic for a paper I think about current events and things that that are in the news. The reason I do this is so that I can find a topic that people are interested in. Using controversial topics can also help hook in the audience. I choose current situations or topics that are relevant to today’s world so that the paper can teach people things also. Writing about things that are relevant to society will also attract more readers and keep them interested. After I choose my topic, I would search for sources in an online database. This way I know that the sources are good scholarly sources and sometimes they are peer reviewed. Also this helps because it compiles multiple sources all together. Ebscohost is a really good one.
