It is important to know the difference between regular and irregular verbs so you can know when to use each one. Irregular verbs are difficult because there are so different tenses of every word. As this is the case it is easy to mistake the tenses. For example, I drink coffee every morning. Irregular verb would be i drunk coffee 8 times this week. If you use the wrong type of verb the sentence will not sound well or flow. You can make sure you are using the right one by reading the surrounding sentences and determine which tense you are using, and then make sure the verb matches the intended tense.
