Do you think “global corporate citizenship” is a useful concept?

I think that global corporate citizenship is a useful concept because it obligates organizations to become socially and environmentally responsible to the countries in which they reside and conduct business. This business strategy implies that the organizations invest time and money into creating relationships with other businesses. By doing this it creates more stakeholder loyalty. The more stakeholders bring along my money into these organizations. Although I do think that for this strategy there needs to be a different word other than citizenship. It doesn’t fit what the concept actually means.
