Explain why the implementation of total quality requires cultural change.

In order for total quality management to work the organizational culture of the company must be congruent with the total quality management. If it isn’t it is recommended that the total quality management implementation should be avoided or delayed until the favorable conditions can exist. The reason for this is because the culture of the organization impacts the day to day flow. Also, the culture includes each person in the organization and for total quality management to work the culture needs to understand the tqm and be open to the change.
