What factors might cause peak loads in a network?
What factors might cause peak loads in a network? How can a network designer determine if they are important, and how are they taken into account when designing a data communications network? Please discuss with your classmates.
There are different factors that could cause peak load in a network. One factor is time factors, users access different website on different times and a certain part of a day could become extremely busy. Second factor is tendency of the user, different users at different locations have different tendencies. And third factor is similar websites, if there are similar websites, the load will be shared by them.
The designer can determine peak loads by calculating the data on each of the circuit and total number of characters passing through a network on daily basis.
Peak loads are taken into account by analyzing different networks and the load that passes through it.
