A company structure can be strength for the company if it works. Having the right structure at different stage of business can help the company grow and maintain growth. Structures such as hybrid or matrix can bring flexibility to the company’s allocation of resources and increase communication while decrease conflicts and slack time. Structures such as horizontal or functional can provide orders and chain of commands for complex organizations. However, structures can have weaknesses because of the way they are built or implemented. Too much flexibility in the structure will create confusion or chaos, but too much order or hierarchy can prevent communication and free flows of resources and communication.
