Define political culture and explain the relationship between political culture and political socialization.
Political Culture refers to the way that a society together, decides that a political institution deserves legitimacy. This is done by way of major support of the way that political processes occur. The American political culture is such because it is supported by the people it effects. Much like political socialization, political culture can be passed along from generation to generation in the citizenry. Socialization is important to political culture because it drives it by participation and general compliance with the way that the system works for the people and for the democracy itself.
