The author says that post-proposal submittal phase “can be especially treacherous”. Explain why.

Preparing a proposal is a demanding job. After we are done with preparing the proposal and have submitted it to the bid, there is a chance that we might be excited and set back and relax hoping we have achieved a milestone. The author is, therefore, stressing the need for vigilance in the post-proposal submittal phase by arguing that there is a need to be actively involved with the customer. We might have prepared an effective proposal but the customers might still see ambiguities. They might need us to provide them with an oral presentation or answer other inquiries concerning the submitted proposal (Osborne, 2011, p. 295). Post-proposal submittal oral presentation and effective response to customer’s inquiries could help us in recovering from short-comings in our proposal that we, ourselves were not able to identify.
