What is a key concept or foundational theory from the first four weeks of class? How does it apply to your current work environment or a recent social, political or business event you have attended or have seen in the media? What was the outcome? Do you think it could have been improved? Why or why not? If so, how?
One of the key concepts i have learned throughout the modules is the first module which really stuck in my mind. The forces of change from chapter one really defines a key concept that has to be looked at carefully. I have experienced change when i first moved to America and it was quite difficult to adjust to these changes. In the PowerPoint it explains that you need to know when to change something and what needs to be done to make these changes possible. The PowerPoint also explains that a smart manger resolves conflict and that’s something I really took from when I experience conflict in the workplace I will become the leader and try to find a solution. I think i can improve as a person by communicating and that resolves the conflict in change to ask questions and try to figure out what is going on. If a conflict appears i have to take charge and define what the problem is and address the issue.
