Two major issues that are important in organizational design

Two critical issues for organizational design could be that of having the right employee oriented policies in place but also ensuring that there is a certain level of employee autonomy and empowerment being given to employees as well.  Both of these are salient policies to have because if employees feel a sense of independence and autonomy, then they would also be more flexible in their creative idea thinking.  On the other hand, if the employees come to feel that all of their moves are being watched by the top management such as their immediate boss, then they might not be so eager or inclined to think creatively. Therefore, top management has to ensure that on one hand, there is empowerment of these employees but at the same time to also ensure that the employees are given a sense of pride and focus in how they approach their work tasks.
