Defining a problem is not a single term, it’s the most important part of the problem solving process. If the problem is not accurately defined, it would not be easy to rectify it. The process consists of first asking and answering important questions related to the problem. These questions may consist of what the problem is, what are the problems that are caused by the problem? What are the goals of the solution of the problem? What are other related variables to the problem? What is the background of the problem? After these question are answered, a problem would be defined effectively and a step towards its solution could be taken.
