Explain the strategic importance of the supply chain

Supply chain management is an essential part of every organization whether it’s a small or a large company. the strategic importance of supply chain is to maximize the customer value and to achieve the sustainable competitive advantages. (Wilson, 2017)

The supply chain management also deals with the inventory management by movement and storing of material required to create a product, and also keeping the track of finished products from where it was produced and who the product go to. if companies use strategic supply chain management, the company will able to perform at its most advantageous power to provide and distribute the products and material.
