What is Power?
‘Power’ is referred to have ability to influence and control the behavior of other people. For this purpose, “authority” is also termed as the same. Organizational power is an ability of highly formal use of authority in any organization where employees are concerned. Personal power is regarded as an informal type where one can make the use of power in the people of his daily life such as in his circle and family. Organizational power is useful for the organizational commitment of employees and in returns their job performance. The organizational commitment would never be fulfilled without having any power to take charge or control. It is a useful technique to control the behavior of employees (Hüther & Krücken, 2015).
