It was amazing to know that pornography makes more money than the NBA and sorts of sports combined. All the question asked in the prompt are valid but I would like to pose a question here. Why this industry is not regularized the way other industries are? I mean we have labor laws that provide covers to working class. We have laws that govern all other industries where the workers are protected against any mistreatment. But yet, we are asking the basic question that whether the sex workers have the right to consent. I think this is really disturbing. In the recent times, we heard the story of Stormy Daniels. There are many more such stories. But, people don’t take them seriously because it is a story that belongs to the porn industry. I think that just any human has the right to complain about and report sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape in the sex work industry. I think that the stigma does exists regarding the sex workers due to which questions regarding how they are treated are avoided most of the times. Now is the time for everyone to wake up and at least listen to what sex worker have to say about the way they are treated.
