American efforts toward global trade and its impact

When the World War 2 ended, US had its eyes on defeating Communism (Hook & Spanier, 2015). For this purpose they started to spread the ideals of capitalism around the world. They started to help European industrial revival and Japanese revival. America also tried to spread their influence to countries in Africa and Asia that has just freed themselves from colonial powers. These efforts made America one of the leading economic power and it impacted US positively as it gave US an international stature and political power to bend international economic activities in their favor.
