What is eBay’s problem?
EBay focused its market growth and customer share to sustain its position in the market competition. The problem with eBay was that it refused to determine and acknowledge that the need of the multiple diversified services and the positions of the main core business were not matched together in the market. With diversified products, where eBay thought to capture more market and attention of the customers, it also lacked in the facilitating and ensuring that the main business growth was entertained and its stability in the market was addressed.
Also the issues that eBay faced that led to is failures including the deteriorating position of the services that were bought and acquired by eBay. Initially through the acquisition of these services improved the stand point of the company in the market and its share value was appreciated but it didn’t not help maintain its structure within the domain of its main business. The business growth in terms of the trade online networking lacked the facilities of improvement. The other issues that were not addressed were the low number of products offered at eBay compared to other services and the seller’s commitment with eBay. Surely they found the platform not so promising and offered to sale their products elsewhere on the internet that crashed the business revenues structure. These long term and short terms agreements that constructed the operations at eBay were to be addressed and maintained in order to provide the business with stable operations.
