The way in which people tend to form their political opinions, which are most often influenced by being part of a group, social demographic and any other sort of group, is called political socialization. This is an important aspects of politics and democracy because socialization because it gives an idea to how a certain group will vote, and these ideas are often based in issues that entrench a group on one side of the political spectrum or another. A group of people, possibly of a certain faith, or a certain profession, will vote typically by the terms of an issue or particular ideology. Personal care physicians may be more inclined to be conservatives, for instance, because they see new healthcare laws as restrictive. The other reason this is possible is because they may be higher earners, which is a group that typically moves to the right on the political spectrum.
