What are the different states of ego?
Ego refers to the attitude that one may have of himself over other beings, a sense of superiority that makes a person think that he deserves better than other people just because he simply is better than other people or higher than other people. Of course, ego has many types but the most common states of ego are only three, which are the parent ego state, the adult ego state, and the child ego state. The parent ego state refers to all the feelings and emotions that a person gathers from his significant other as well as his own parents. These feelings and emotions are also often replicated in scenarios where the same reaction could only be arrived from a person’s parents or significant others. In this manner, the adult ego state refers to all concepts and emotions taken from parents as children are growing up. The adult ego state refers to the present time for a person and the attitudes as well as feelings and emotions that a person directs from his present experience rather than from his experiences, feelings, and emotions from the past. In this manner, he adult ego state is not influenced by parents or elements from the past, but by elements of the existing time for a particular person and from the present time of a person. The Child ego state is the third ego state. This ego state refers to the set of feelings, emotions, and even particular behaviors that are reflected in the attitude of a person due to his past experiences in similar conditions and situations.
